MOLE STRAIGHT FROM PUEBLA MEXICO
Our familia would gather in abuelita’s (grandmother in Spanish) kitchen to get a taste of her delicious and savory Mole Poblano. Mole Poblano is natural to the state of Puebla, Mexico. It is a savory marinade and sauce that has ingredients such as chiles and dark chocolate. Our abuelita would put hardwork and love on the various stages of making the mole. From sun drying and sauteeing the chiles and peanuts, to combining the ingredients into the dark brown sauce, there are several stages to prepare this exquisite Poblano Mexican cuisine. It is an art and a process. We hope to bring this experience from our hearts and kitchen to your plate. Our abuelita was a magnificent cook from Puebla, Mexico. Here at Tio’s Mexican Restaurant we honor our abuelita. We honor La familia. We honor our Mexican roots. ¡Bienvenido to la fiesta!
